Food & Allergy Safety
Food & Allergy Disclaimer
Last updated: September 1, 2026
DinnerPilot makes a reasonable effort to use your recorded avoidance preferences in its structured planning tools. It cannot guarantee that a recipe, ingredient, product, or kitchen is allergen-safe.
Not medical or dietitian advice
DinnerPilot is meal-planning software, not medical, dietitian, nutrition, or emergency advice. Recipe suggestions may be curated, imported, or AI-assisted and can contain errors, omissions, or unsuitable substitutions.
Always verify
Food labels, formulations, restaurant and brand ingredients, and manufacturing practices change. Structured recipe ingredients may not identify hidden ingredients, brand-specific formulations, or cross-contact risks. Independently verify every ingredient, label, and substitute before buying or cooking, especially for allergies, celiac disease, pregnancy, medical conditions, or prescribed diets.
Cook and store safely
You are responsible for preventing cross-contact, using safe temperatures, following manufacturer guidance, and safely handling, cooking, cooling, and storing food. Do not rely on DinnerPilot for emergency, allergen, or food-safety determinations.
Serious allergies and medical needs
For serious allergies or medical dietary requirements, use independent verification and consult a qualified clinician, dietitian, or other professional. If you see a potential conflict in a plan, do not select or cook it until you have verified it is safe for your household.
These public policies are operational drafts describing the current DinnerPilot product. They are not legal advice. Questions or requests can be sent through Contact & Support.
